MBA insight 1

Now that my life is a living hell, there are certain things i wanted to do. I never wanted to do an MBA, but still am doing. My basic perception of an MBA was the cool dude who earns a lot of money. But entering into an MBA institute i realized that there are no easy lunches available anywhere.

You work hard as a donkey, well even harder and find yourself at the losers end when you find that your peers even worked harder and are better off. I found myself in a position where i had an option as people told me a phrase "smart work". I thought for a while, and said maybe that's the way i need to work in MBA, and then to my surprise i found myself at the end of the batch.

There are many things apart from your academics you need to concentrate on equally, but the irony was i was concentrating only on the non academic parts. I realized that maybe i have landed up in a dumb institute but only to my horror to find that even in the best B-schools throughout the country things are pretty bad.

The other things you need to work on is the communication skills particularly that of GD (Group Discussions) and PI(Personal Interviews). There are so many of them(communication workshops), that at the end you become a master of FAFF, this is a term that has been coined in the MBA institutes. It means that you just speaking anything that pops in your mind, when you dont have any knowledge about the subject, but with the caution that the evaluator does not have the idea that you are FAFFing but instead appreciates the ideas you give out!!!!
